HootFleet Trucking

Electronic logging and fleet compliance for trucking companies

HootFleet Trucking keeps a carrier's hours-of-service records, inspections, driver files and dispatch in one place, with a driver app in the cab and a web portal for the office. It is built for US commercial motor carriers under the FMCSA hours-of-service and ELD rules (49 CFR Part 395).

What it does

One system for the driver, the dispatcher and the safety manager.

Hours-of-service logs

Drivers record duty status in the app. Driving is detected from the truck's engine data, and drivers and the office see the remaining drive, shift and cycle time.

Roadside inspections

Drivers show their records to an officer and, when asked, transfer the ELD record file to FMCSA as the ELD rule describes.

Vehicle inspections and maintenance

Pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports, defects, repairs and preventive maintenance, kept for the audit trail.

Driver qualification and compliance

Driver files, certifications, medical cards and testing records with due-date tracking.

Dispatch and live fleet view

Assign loads, see trucks and drivers on a live map, and follow duty-status changes as they happen.

Billing and settlements

Invoices for customers and pay settlements for drivers, linked to the loads they come from.

Email we send

HootFleet Trucking sends transactional email only. We send no newsletters or marketing email, and we never buy, rent or import mailing lists.

  • Account email: an invitation when a carrier's administrator adds a user, then sign-in codes, password resets and security notices for that user. Sent from noreply@trucking.hootfleet.com.
  • Compliance alerts: notices to a carrier's own staff about their fleet, such as an expiring document or an hours-of-service issue. Users choose these in their notification settings.
  • Roadside transfer: when a driver chooses email transfer at an inspection, the ELD record file goes to FMCSA's ELD submission address. On the driver's request, a copy of the inspection summary goes to the inspecting officer.

Addresses that bounce or complain are suppressed and not mailed again. To stop account email, ask your company's administrator to remove your user. To report unwanted mail, write to the contact address below.

Privacy

Carriers own the records they keep in HootFleet Trucking. Each company's data is kept separate from every other company's, and we use it only to run the service for that company and to meet record-keeping rules. We do not sell personal information. To ask about your data, use the contact address below.
